Status: Sedated; patient was unruly during capture. Improvoline.
Initial condition: Serious. Lacerations and minor burns to the left side of the body. Evidence suggests smoke from plasma fires might be infecting the damaged tissues, which are darkening. Hairline fracture of left humerus. Borg implants appear functional, but patient has some slight seizures that might or not be related to the implants. Seizures could also be the neurological response to the sudden severing of the link to the Borg Collective. There is no evidence to suggest the patient’s link to the Borg Collective remains intact. Patient is weak from lack of regeneration, but otherwise seems healthy despite injuries.

82022.48—Patient was recovered today in what appeared to be a type of command center in the wreckage of a disabled Borg Tactical Cube following the battle two days ago. Rescuers claimed she seemed delusional, perhaps from lack of regeneration, erratically attempting repeatedly to override an error in the Cube’s systems while appearing oblivious to everything around her. Patient is different from other drones, with dark hair, fewer external implants, and a slightly different discoloration from the nanoprobe infection. Initial genetic scans provided no identification match with Starfleet records of assimilated persons. Information forwarded to Starfleet Medical Command for expanded searching.

82022.53—Patient remains sedated. Attempted nanoprobe infusion to assist regenerative efforts. Rather than revive the patient as it has in countless other drones, the patient’s lifesigns decreased. Tissue surrounding the infusion point quickly darkened, and might be necrotizing. Tissue sample sent to lab for analysis.

82022.80—Lab results indicate darkened tissue is merely covered with dead nanoprobes, and is not necrotizing. Something about this drone is killing the nanoprobes I tried using to save her life despite my tricorder scans indicating she is filled with functioning nanoprobes just like any other drone. Perhaps the darkened tissues around her other wounds are also dead nanoprobes. Lt. Commander Zarl suggested there were probably quite a few nanoprobes floating around inside the Cube following the battle, especially considering the number of drones shredded when a captive Starfleet vessel rammed the central plexus, a sickening thought at best. That still doesn’t tell me why the nanoprobe transfusion is failing in this case.

82023.54—Rescuers recovered a second drone similar to patient. Scans indicated she has the exact same features and implant structuring, and the same negative response to nanoprobe infusions. Holoprojection images of the second drone could easily be mistaken for subject. Perhaps they are twins. The second drone will be brought to the U.S.S. Mary Seacole as soon as medical staff of the U.S.S. Walt Whitman stabilize her condition.
